The Püchner Model 23 is a terrific professional-model bassoon. It features the same bore design as the Models Superior and Jubilee. In addition to silver speaker tubes, it boasts the nylon-lined pivot screw system, 13 rollers, and a balance hanger. It also features some extra key work, considered standard for professional use: Ab-Bb trill, Eb trill for the left hand, and an extra low C. The instrument is standard cut Model 23.
The modern Püchner bassoon has a wonderfully colorful sound that projects easily. It is best suited for orchestral or soloistic playing, and with its even scale, makes intonation and blending a breeze.
