The SVH shape, or Sakakeeny Van Hoesen, is a copy of the famous Van Hoesen shape, developed by the renowned pedagogue K David van Hoesen and used by him and many of his students. This shape is a modified Knochenhauer-style shape, with a narrower tip and taper. This shape is a great choice for those with pre-war Heckels, or who want to get a more soloistic sound, especially in the tenor register. It's also great for playing principal bassoon!
