The Püchner Model Superior is a wonderful professional-model bassoon. It features the same bore design as the Model 23 and Jubilee, but has much more hardware. In addition to Sterling silver touchpieces and silver speaker tubes, it boast extra adjustment screws, 15 rollers, and a balance hanger. It has a ton of extra keys: double high E, double C# trill, Ab-Bb trill, Eb trill for the left hand, and an extra low C. The instrument is also exclusively made in the compact cut style with a 2-piece long joint.
The modern Püchner bassoon has a wonderfully colorful sound that projects easily. It is best suited for orchestral or soloistic playing, and with its even scale, makes intonation and blending a breeze.
