Mozart Clarinet Concerto in A Major, K. 622 for Clarinet and Piano, Henle Ed.

$35.95

Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, his last completed instrumental work, dates from October 1791.  This edition presents the music in the key of A and for clarinet in A.

Published 2003.  Two suggested slow movement cadenzas (Clarinet Quintet and Piano Sonata in C, K. 521).  Introductory essay in German, English, and French, plus editorial remarks.  Parts for standard clarinet and basset clarinet.  Articulation and ornamentation according to the Urtext principle; needs amending by player or teacher to become practical for performance.

Cue notes in small typeface, set off by "Solo" and "Tutti" markings.  Piano reduction by Jan Philip Schulze.  Appendix holds fragmentary solo part of concerto attempt for basset horn in G, perhaps dating from 1785.  At measure 180, key of the sketch changes to A and calls for clarinet in A.
